1. Eligibility & Account Registration
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the App.
- Account Security: To access interactive features (such as comments and replies), you must register for an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials, including any secure PIN or biometric access you configure.
- Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration (such as email, name, and phone number).
2. App Services & Content Usage
- News & Sports Content: Hausa+ provides news articles, football updates, audio bulletins, and real-time match alerts.
- Personal & Non-Commercial Use: You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the news content and audio/video files for personal, non-commercial use.
- Prohibited Reproduction: You may not copy, record, download (except using the App's native offline audio feature), distribute, or resell any content or news media from the App.
3. User-Generated Content & Community Guidelines
When posting comments, replies, or using custom emoji reactions in the App, you agree to the following rules:
- No Illegal Content: You will not post content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or invasive of another's privacy.
- No Nudity or Violence: The sharing of nudity, sexually explicit content, or real-world graphic violence outside of a newsworthy context is strictly prohibited.
- No Hate Speech: You will not promote discrimination or hatred based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
- No Spam: You will not post promotional material, unsolicited advertisements, or spam.
4. Content Moderation, Reporting & Blocking
To ensure a safe community, the App provides:
- Report System: You can flag/report offensive comments. Reports are stored in our database (
comment_reports) and reviewed by our moderation team. We reserve the right to delete any comment that violates these Terms. - Block System: You can block any user. Blocking instantly hides all comments and replies from the blocked user on your feed.
- Account Suspension: We reserve the right to temporarily suspend or permanently terminate accounts of users who repeatedly violate our community guidelines.
5. Intellectual Property
All content within the App—including text, graphics, logos, audio clips, videos, and code—is the property of Hausa+ or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws.
6. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers
- As-Is Basis: The App is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or availability of the news, match alerts, or commentary.
- Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hausa+ shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App.
7. Governing Law
